World Book Day

Lesson: English

What a wonderful World Book Day we had, sharing stories, new books and our love of reading!

Class 4 had a wonderful morning sharing our favourite stories with our friends and discussing how books can take us on amazing adventures, teach us new things and open up the world to us.

We then joined our buddies to read their favourite books with them, and some of us led story time with Class 1 and 2.

This afternoon, we had a live talk from Michael Rosen. The special show marked the 50th anniversary of the publication of his first children's book, Mind Your Own Business, and 50 years of him inspiring generations of children, teachers and families with his amazing poetry.

Class 2 had a super World Book Day!

We enjoyed having the opportunity to read different books, hear from famous authors and explore different books with our peers and reading buddies!

A fantastic World Book Day for us all.

Reception loved our author session with Helen Stephens and then unwrapping their books with their reading buddies.

A perfect day celebrating the joys of reading!

Class 3 celebrated world book day by bringing in their favourite books. In class, children found new books had been wrapped up and hidden in our class library. Children then discussed their own favourite stories before creating a review of the books they are currently reading.
