Parent's Celebration Assemblies and Secret Reader
Parent's Celebration Assemblies and Secret Reader are two of the ways we invite family members into our school to celebrate all the children's achievements with us.
Parent's Celebration Assemblies - each term we warmly welcome family members to attend a special assembly, such as Harvest or our Academy Celebration. Sometimes these events are led by the school or a class, the School Council, the Safeguarding Council or the Ethos group, and often they are an opportunity to fundraise for a charity or cause. However, they are always an opportunity to celebrate all the children's achievements and talents, both at school and in the community.
Secret Reader - this is a scheme whereby Reception parents can sign up to come into the Reception class and read a story to the children. Nobody knows who the identity of the Secret reader is until they enter the class, and the children are always delighted to see who the reader will be. Sssh remember it's a secret!
