“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord” Colossians 3:23

British Science Week

Lesson: Science

We have had great experiences taking part in British Science Week.

Class 1 - We had so much fun learning about wind turbines and sustainable energy.

We then made our own windmills and tested them outside, lucky for us it was a windy day!

Class 2 - We have investigated the importance of bees. We researched how many of our food crops depend on pollination from bees.

We created wildflower 'bombs' to take home and grow to help create more bee friendly plants.

Class 3 - We conducted an experiment to see how water is transported around a plant.

As part of this year's theme of 'Innovating for the Future' we designed our own classrooms of the future.

Class 4 - We investigated taste. Pupils asked the question 'What can we taste with our tongue?'.

We researched the importance of smell in relation to taste before conducting an experiment to create a map for salt, sweet, bitter, sour and umami.
