“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord” Colossians 3:23

British Science Week 2023

Lesson: Science

To celebrate British Science Week, here are some of the activities the children have been engaged with.

Class 3 - Bridge Blunder. Pupils thought about the connections between weights, forces and measures.

With limited resources of just a few sheets of paper and a small amount of sellotape, children designed and built a bridge to carry weights.

Science careers - Pupils looked at the book 'Women in science: 50 fearless pioneers who changed the world.' Children thought about how anybody can become a scientist.

Class 4 - Fantastic Fingerprints. Pupils used their own fingerprints, and checked to see if they could identify any patterns. They examined their fingerprints to see if they really are different to everybody else's.

Poster competition - the children created posters ready to be entered into the annual British Science Week's competition.
