Baking in Reception

Class: Class 1 Year: 2022 - 2023

Today the children made apple crumble using apples that we have collected from our orchard.

We carefully chopped each apple, cooking it with sugar and cinnamon to sweeten them. 

Everyone had a turn at weighing, pouring and mixing and then we learnt how to 'rub' the ingredients together to make soft crumbs for our crumble topping.

Every child was able to take an individual apple crumble home to bake and share with their families. 

I hope they taste as good as they looked!
