The Tiger Who Came To Tea

Today we went to Quarry Bank Mill in search of a tiger!

It is the 50th anniversary celebration of Judith Kerr’s book, The Tiger Who Came To Tea so we decided to visit the tiger in Sophie’s kitchen! We dressed up as tigers and delivered our home made tiger food; we got to see the original artwork from Judith’s sketchbook and we heard the story told by a wonderful storyteller at the top of the mill.

We managed to explore the mill’s beautiful gardens and great playgrounds before enjoying a wonderful afternoon tea in the mill.

A truly amazing first trip for our Reception children.
