Today we started our new topic, How Is It Made?

We started by reading our new story, Iggy Peck Architect about a boy who loves to design and build structures. On a school trip though, a bridge over the river collapses and he has to save the day by designing and building a new bridge using some unusual objects! 

We decided to visit a bridge near by where we re read the story before carefully sketching out the bridge and discussing what it was made from, the shape of the stone, how it felt/looked up close. 

We will display our bridge sketches and compare them to different types of bridge, both local and famous.
