Making Bird Food

Making our own bird food  24th February

As part of our Land, Sea and Sky topic we decided to take a closer look at birds. We hoped some birds would visit our playground so we made our own bird food . We used vegetable suet and seed. We melted the suet and then added the seed. Next we let it cool slightly and put it into cake cases. Once the bird cakes had cooled completely we turned them out and filled up our bird feeder, then we hung it in the playground. We are waiting patiently for some hungry visitors.
