Federation Reception Class visit an apple press

Federation Reception Class have an apple fun day out

Sixteen pupils from the Reception Class of the Federation took along a crop of apples from their own trees to the Random Apple Company based in Rainow.

All the children enjoyed what was their very first school trip, and their first visit to an applery. They washed, crushed and pressed some of the apples into juice.

The class also enjoyed some homemade apple cake, had a nature walk and coloured in some farmyard pictures.

The children had their adventure after they responded to an appeal for unwanted apples by Sarah Simpson from The Random Apple Company.

In return Sarah offered to make it into delicious apple juice, bottle it and give back half. The rest is sold in local shops.

However the excitement didn't end there as the adventure was reported in full in the Macclesfield Express.
