World Book Day

Lesson: Literacy

We celebrated World Book Day by combining our love of reading with the characters from our phonics scheme, Read Write Inc. In assembly we shared how we can 'read our way'. We had some brilliant ideas ranging from reading in a hammock, swapping books with friends and listening to audiobooks. 
The older children then read stories to our younger children during a reading buddy session.
Class 4 have written some wonderful poetry about the power of books and reading.
