Class 3 2024 - 2025
Mrs Smith
SENCO
Welcome to Class 3's page.
I am Mrs Smith and I am delighted to be teaching Class 3 this year. I am also the school's special educational needs co-ordinator (SENCO). Class 3 is made up of 30 fantastic learners and this year we will be helped by Mrs Heath and Mrs Howarth.
We have some exciting learning to do across all areas of the curriculum including forces and magnets in science, understanding how children's lives have changed over the years in history, and designing and making a pavilion in design and technology. In geography we will be learning all about Antarctica and in RE we will be learning about the story of David and what the Psalms reveal to us.
Whilst we are not starting our French units until after Christmas, we will be learning some French, including basic classroom instructions and counting to 20.
Our Christian Value this term is Creation, followed by Joy.
On this page you will find:-
- Our long term plan;
- Our class timetable;
- A list of recommended reading books for years 3 and 4.
A list of spellings for the year will be sent home with your children at the start of this term (term 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B).
I look forward to a fantastic year of learning with your wonderful children.
We are on Cycle B of our Long Term Plans.
Mrs Smith.
