We Are Archaeologists!

Class: Class 1 Year: 2021 - 2022

As part of our history focus, we have spent the week being archaeologists!

We have discovered lots of bones and fossil fragments in our digging site; using tools and brushes to unearth and gently clean them we then compared our findings to photographs.

We have recreated dinosaur skeletons using different sized dinosaur bones, sketched fossils and taken a closer look at a dinosaur tooth!

The children have looked at photographs showing a range of different fossils; we gathered our ideas about what each one might be before making a poster to show our findings.
