Tinkers Clough Visit

Class: Class 1 Year: 2022 - 2023

Today, we combined our geography field trip with our literacy learning by visiting Tinkers Clough. We each had our own map with the plotted route to follow, and we identified all the key landmarks on our way, such as the bus stop, corner shop and the canal bridge. We photographed significant or interesting parts of our journey to add to our route tracker back at school.

At Tinker's Clough we re-enacted the story of The Three Billy Goats Gruff, searched for the troll and listened to an alternative version of the fairytale. We played in the stream, building bridges and enjoying the sunshine before heading back to school.
