Class 3 Chester Visit

Class: Class 3 Year: 2023 - 2024

The children have enjoyed a visit to the home of the Twentieth Legion - Valeria Victrix otherwise known as Chester. We enjoyed a workshop showing how modern day archaeologists study Roman life in Chester. This was a great opportunity for pupils to share their learning from our history topic. 

We were led by a Roman centurion from the museum to the amphitheatre. Unfortunately, pupils were met by some grizzly looking Celts. This provided an excellent opportunity for pupils to demonstrate their shield formations. We ended our day by walking along the city wall and spending time in the Roman Garden.
