Harvest Assembly

Today, we celebrated Harvest at St John's with a wonderful whole school assembly. Class 1 recited a poem and held up the vegetables they had drawn and then painted. Class 2 sang a Harvest song while wearing the Harvest hats they had made. Class 3 taught us about Harvest traditions that are celebrated across the world. Finally, Class 4 shared Harvest facts about farmers and encouraged us to help save the planet. We also had some beautiful prayers that were read by members of each class, and whole schools songs that were sung aloud by all. Thank you for all the family members who came, and for all the donations to the Silklife foodbank.
