Reception prepared for our fieldwork adventure, by using Digimap to create a map showing our route and using photos of recognisable places along the way. We walked to Tinker's Clough and carried out a litter pick, this linked to our current text in Literacy about a magpie that fills the woodland with rubbish thinking it is treasure left by humans.Togther we read this story in the woodland and our own magpie helped us find more litter to collect. Then the class discussed the recognisable features on our route and our own experiences of being there.
