Diwali

Class: Class 1 Year: 2024 - 2025

To celebrate the Hindu celebration of Diwali, we explored the traditions of the festival. We discussed the food, clothing and activities that happen during this time.
The children created rangoli patterns using chalk and modelling dough; we created mehndi designs using templates of our hands.

The children enjoyed using clay to make diya lamps. We explored the story of Rama and Sita as we lit our candles.

We took part in a drama workshop that focused on how light makes us feel.
