Today, Class 3 visited Manchester Science and Industry Museum. Children had a packed day, starting with the experiment gallery. They had the opportunity to see science in action as they experimented with magnets, electricity, optical illusions and even a mini tornado.
Before lunch, pupils visited the spark of life gallery. In the gallery children examined how electricity was discovered, how it is distributed and demand for electricity.
Lastly, Class 3 took part in a workshop called Circuit City. Children looked at the history of electricity in Manchester, starting with an electric current in 1893 from Dickinson Street Power Station to Manchester Town Hall. Children tested scientific principles using electrical devices.
