Week 1 – Paper Aeroplanes

Children investigated what type of paper plane goes the farthest. Children created two simple paper planes and tested their theories.

Week 2 – Tin Foil Boats

This week, children thought about the forces that act upon a floating boat. They then designed and tested their own boats to see how much weight could be added before it sank.

Week 3 – Non-Newtonian Liquids

Children looked at the properties of a solid, liquid and a gas and discovered that Oobleck is a non-Newtonian fluid. It has the properties of both a solid and a liquid. Pupils then created their own ‘slime’.
