Class 2 Friction Ramp Experiment

As part of our forces topic we have been investigating friction. We learnt why friction is so important and why we need it in our everyday life to keep us safe. We built different sized ramps in the hall and tested rolling toy cars down them. We then used different materials to create friction on the surface of the ramp. We found out that the thicker and rougher the material, the more friction and the slower the car travelled.
