Dissolution Date

At the meeting with representatives of parents, staff and other stakeholders on Monday 23rd January, the Governors were asked by the Local Authority to reconsider the date set for the de-federation of Pott Shrigley School and the dissolution of the Federation.

Mindful of the fact that the original request for De-federation came from members of the Pott Shrigley community, who have expressed a wish for this process to be completed as soon as possible, the Governors decided at an extraordinary meeting on Friday 27 January 2017 to maintain the date for Dissolution of the Federation to take place on Monday 27 February 2017, which they felt was in the best interests of all concerned. The Head Teacher and the Federation Governors will continue to co-operate with both the Bollington and Pott Shrigley School communities in enabling as smooth a transition as possible over the interim period.

The Local Authority has been advised of this.
