Cross Country Championships

Well done to our Class 3 girls and boys for taking part in the championship cross country races on Wednesday this week. In contrast to last week, the running conditions were perfect on a beautifully warm spring day. This week the runners did particularly well by completing a longer course than last time.Jess, Shiri and Louis put on a great performance in their first race, and Bunny, Emily and Phoebe kept up their excellent recent form. Well done also to Laurie who missed the first race through illness. Another fantastic effort from Eleanor, who finished 5th. She maintained her place in the lead group all the way round the course until the last few metres, which was a very close sprint finish. Scott ran really well in a strong boys’ group and all runners once again showed the meaning of endurance by finishing the race, even though the distance was challenging. Congratulations to all children for their team contribution this week!
