Chris Lubbe Visit

Class: Class 3 Year: 2021 - 2022

Today, children were joined by the award-winning speaker, activist and storyteller, Chris Lubbe. Chris worked as Nelson Mandela’s bodyguard for nine years.

Chris told his story of South Africa’s transition from ‘apartheid’ to a democracy. He shared stories of determination and resilience in the pursuit of freedom. 

All the children were enthralled by his speech, and could talk about the themes of determination, courage, perseverance, persistence and the power of forgiveness.
