A Visit from the Vet

Lesson: EYFS

Class: Class 1 Year: 2016 - 2017

We welcomed a vet into our classroom on Friday. Naomi told us all about what she does when she is at work at the clinic.

We tried on the vets gown, mask and hat and we prepped for a surgery on a cuddly cat! 

We learnt all about anaesthetic and how we stop our pets from being in pain. We asked some really interesting questions. 

We then worked in teams to bandage up our cuddly pets while the rest of us looked at jars containing fleas, ticks and lice; there was even a jar containing worms that had come from a dogs intestine!

We talked about the importance of caring for our pets and we added some great new resources to our role play area.
